Meet the Artist

James “Jimmy” Newquist is an award-winning recording artist, songwriter, and producer—known both for his solo work and as the voice behind Caroline’s Spine.

His career has spanned decades of writing, recording, and performing for audiences across the U.S., Europe, and beyond, with songs that have reached millions of listeners and earned multiple RIAA Gold records and Top 40 chart positions.

But this isn’t about what’s already been released… this is stepping inside the making of what comes next.

  • The Listener

    As a Listener, you'll receive access to each month's song along with a private live session where we come together with the artist to hear how you experienced the song—before learning what it meant to him.


    Includes:

    • New monthly song (digital recording)

    • Access to the monthly live session


    This is part of our founding group and will grow intentionally over time.

  • The Letter

    You'll receive everything included in The Listener, along with a printed lyrical letter—featuring Jimmy's handwritten lyrics, reproduced on beautiful stationery.


    Each month also includes a small artifact—something inspired by the song, the writing, or the moment it came from.


    Includes:

    • New monthly song (digital recording)

    • Printed lyrical letter (from Jimmy's handwritten lyrics)

    • A small mailed artifact connected to the song

    • Access to the monthly live session

    • A voice in shaping the final record—helping decide which songs move forward to be fully produced at the end of the year


    This is part of our founding group and will grow intentionally over time.



  • The Inner Circle

    You'll receive everything included in The Letter, along with access to a more personal monthly gathering where you'll have the opportunity to speak directly with the artist in a small, intimate setting.


    In addition, each month's lyrical letter is personally hand-signed by Jimmy.

How it works each month

Each month follows a simple rhythm:

  •   On the 1st of the month, your new song (digital recording) is delivered via email
  •   Physical pieces (lyrical letters and artifacts, depending on your membership) are also mailed
  •  On the 3rd Wednesday at 7 PM (CT), we come together for our monthly live session
  •   On the 4th Wednesday at 7pm (CT), Inner Circle members also gather live for a more personal conversation
